City Central Library, North zone, Malleshwaram, Bangalore took initiative of organizing an event called “Author of the Month” (Thingala Sahithi), which started from December 2018.

This event is dedicated to author whose birth month is celebrated by displaying his work and details on notice board and exhibiting their books. Reader response towards this event is very positive. They are keen to know about author and Public reader gets all their books together.

Every month this event is dedicated to different author/s those are born in that particular month.

This exhibition is exhibited in Newspaper section of Malleshwaram Branch Library. Reader from different age group refer to the books displayed. So far, we have displayed information and works of great contributors of Kannada Literature like Gnanapeeta awardee Kuvempu, Shivaram Karanth, Girish Karnaad, U. R. Anantha Murthy, Chandrashekar Kambar, Masti Venkatesh Iyengar, Da. Ra. Bendre, V.K. Gokak and many others.
